Why I know…

 

Around 2 years ago I had the stuffing knocked out of me after a relationship ended badly. I was suffocating in my own grief and absolute disbelief that I had allowed myself to continue building a relationship with someone I knew was not right for me. I kept telling myself that all men around my age have baggage, heck we all do, and that I needed to look past it. I repeatedly compromised my boundaries and my self worth, allowing myself to become a shadow of who I actually was. Everyone has a past, I am not debating that, however, we are all adults who have the responsibility to deal with this before we choose to move on to another relationship. That is exactly what I’ve done. I worked out exactly why, late thirties, I was once again single and this time, I really questioned who I was and what I wanted. I realised the common denominator in all of this was me. So, I sorted my sh!t out.

 

I now have a regular exercise routine, I read more, I am aware of my external environment and consciously choose the energy I surround myself with. I love spending ‘me’ time trying new activities, pushing myself out my comfort zone and generally doing anything I want that makes me feel happy. I’m the most content I’ve ever been and am having so much fun building an amazing life for myself.
